What an awesome night of solid Bible teaching by Pastor David Ravenhill!
Subject? The Purpose of the Cross.
Weaving through from Genesis to Isaiah and to the epistles of apostle Paul, James, Peter & John, Pastor Ravenhill taught with clarity of the purpose of the Cross that has GOD at its very core and center.
And we are to mature from "little children to young men to fathers" (1 John 2: 12-14) in our Christian walk. Knowing that we are created by/for/through Christ Jesus for His purpose & for His pleasure. And God redeemed us for Himself. We are to glory/live/have our being in Him and through Him and for Him.
He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. (2 Cor 5:15)
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. (Titus 2:14)
Jesus is LORD over us. And therein is our joy & hope & purpose.
For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. (Rom 11:36)
