Chinese Church Camp - Part 1

d
Well, it's Chinese Church Camp! A 3 days/2 nights camp organised by the tireless leaders of the Mandarin congregation at Santubong Resort from 14th - 16th Nov.

It was a time of REST, FELLOWSHIP, LEARNING, PRAYING, WORSHIPING & FUN!

Below are photographs taken over the past few days. Do enjoy!

1) Outdoor Fun:

An amble amount of time was scheduled in for "free & easy" activities for both the young & the adults to "take their shoes off" from school exams & busy office work.

2) Fellowship:

The Chinese congregation has been growing rapidly over the past months, thus we have a lot of new faces. And there isn't a better place & time than a Church Camp for the "new & old" to mix around. Hallelujah!

Through the wisdom of the Elders, they have come up with "ice-breaking" games that were not just FUN but hilarious!

3) Games:

Such as this one: measuring "brain" size... And the winner is...

It was "tough" competition as God has blessed our Church richly in all things...including "brain size" ;) Here the judges are trying to compare...

...more comparisons... VERY VERY tough... I won't reveal the winner here. Let Pastor share next Sunday ;P

Err...yes...we measured from the Head to the TOE literally!

We know from the Scripture that gossiping is wrong... So again, in the wisdom of the Elders, they devised a game to show the "corruptness" of "gossiping" by whispering from one ear to another to see the "end results"...

Sister Irene here doing the right gesture - Don't LISTEN to gossips!

The results were proven by the 5 different teams that messages get "corrupted" when passed from one ear to another. Goes to show don't believe in everything that you hear ;)

Also goes to show the absolute awesomeness of our Bible that has been divinely preserved through the millennium in its entirety. For example, the Dead Sea scroll (a set of 2000 years old manuscripts) shocked atheist archeologists world wide because it validates the authenticity of our modern Bible that we read in its lack of near zero corruption!

Ok...just a quick Bible fact...now BACK to the games!

Err...no...it's NOT what it seems...These people are NOT gathering around a "casino" table ;)

They are playing scoop-the-cotton-balls-blind-folded!

Did everyone enjoy? Well, it was a resounding "loud" YES!

Praise the LORD for the Church Camp!

To be continued...
