潘秀琼 Concert

Women's Joy Fellowship, a ministry of the church, helps to organize two concerts for 潘秀琼 at Kenyalang theater. It was not just a chance for the Kuching fans to meet her, more importantly, it was a chance for 潘秀琼 to share her Faith.


Both concerts were packed full, praise the Lord! Much thanks to all the volunteer ushers from both Chinese & English congregations. The concerts were very well controlled and managed.


It was obvious the crowds love 潘秀琼. Many mesmerizing faces here too just like earlier in the church ;)


潘秀琼 sang quite a few oldies: 情人的眼泪, 月亮代表我的心, 梭罗河之恋....


One of the most touching moment during the concert was her sharing on Teresa Teng! Both were in Japan for a period of time together, and both were seeing each other almost daily. And yet, 潘秀琼 did not share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with Teresa Teng, much to her regret now.

She would weave the sharing of the love of God in between songs and even making "fun" of her own songs for the purpose. Like this very cool "家家有本难念的经 vs 圣经"!

潘秀琼 At EBC

This morning 潘秀琼 was at our church to share on the love of God and to WORSHIP!


Who is 潘秀琼? She is a megastar singer from the 60s/70s. From her sharing, she came to know the LORD in the 80s after a traumatic sickness (brain tumor). Ever since, she has been living her life UNTO THE LORD. Hallelujah!


How good was her singing? Well, from the faces of the congregation, it was simply mesmerizing! A sample below:

EBC Chinese Church

After many months of prayers & planning, today our Chinese congregation finally moves into their very own worship hall! Hallelujah!


No more do they need to "give way" to the flood of people coming in for the 10:00 am English service. Now they can linger, soak and worship in the presence of God for as long as they want...


Now our beloved Chinese congregation can focus fully on the teaching & preaching of the Word instead of been annoyed by the English congregation people peeking through the doors with the annoying "has it ended?" stares... ;)


Thank you Lord Jesus for this new place. May this place be a place of equipping & building up of the saints to the unity of Faith.

It's CHRISTMAS - a day to celebrate the birth of our Saviour LORD JESUS CHRIST!

I believe EBC is just about to launch into a NEW ministry - Drama! The acting skills of both pastors are AWESOME!

Christmas Celebration '07

Dato Chua

Praise the LORD, Dato Chua is here! This morning, he shared his awesome encounter with Jesus with the Chinese congregation. Dato Chua is passionate about Jesus thats for sure. And throughout the sharing, he glorified Christ Jesus over and over again. This Blood-bought brother in Christ is sure on FIRE for Jesus!


Together with him are his beloved wife & son. One of the most encouraging testimonies of Dato Chua is God's fulfillment of His promise - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. (Acts 16:31) - for his family who are now all gloriously saved!


Saved in 2004, Dato Chua went through a whole series of deliverance - from a LEGIONS of demons, to his various illnesses and health conditions. Today Dato Chua is not only totally healthy by the grace of God, but Holy Spirit FILLED! Praise God for a born again MP!!!


With the many sharing of God's mighty acts of healing and miracles, I believe many brothers and sisters in Christ this morning are greatly encouraged and blessed. And with the seeds of faith been sown so abundantly into the hearts of the congregation, I believe we will see much fruits in the days ahead by the grace and mercy of God.


Later, Dato Chua's son, Damion, also shared mightily for the English congregation. Damion's most dramatic miracle was his rescue by an angel when he was kidnapped in 2004!

Praise the LORD for raising up Dato Chua and his family in this Last Days as powerful witnesses to His promises and grace, and to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to a nation where many are still living in darkness and hopelessness.


Lastly, I strongly encourage that we buy the CDs next week and share them with our loved ones with these anointed messages, especially those who have yet to come to know the Lord as their personal Lord and Saviour...

That is IF nothing was wrong with the recording session... as I got a bit worried seeing bro Andrew and Pastor "fumbling" with cables... ;)

Sunday School Christmas Party

"Christmas Party" for the Sunday School this morning!


After spending less than 2 mins with the kids, I learned one must be super anointed with patience in order to serve in this ministry! Praise the LORD for all those who are serving faithfully in the Sunday School ministry!


Did the kids have fun? You bet ya!

LineDancing OUTREACH!

Its' LineDancing OUTREACH time once more last Sunday evening at St Faith!!! The event is drawing more & more crowds every year, praise God!


During the evening, sister Mui Kin shared her AWESOME medical testimony, giving all glory to our most wonderful God.


Pastor Kueh gave a short sermon on Jesus being our TRUE peace. A most relevant message for a tumultuous world today.


This year we see our beloved Pastor Cheng boldly "dancing" right in front of the crowd! (Didn't seem to notice Pastor Kueh dancing though...)
