Church Camp - Part 2: Preview

A preview of Part 2 with 3 themes: Sermons, Prayer, Worship. We hope to have sharing/testimonies from participants to fill the spaces here to encourage each other & to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ:

1) Sermons:

We were so blessed to have Pastor Daniel Choo & Pastor Lynda with us during the camp as they preached and shared the Word of God faithfully for 3 days.

We would love to hear from you how God's Words touch you, transform you, or free you with new breakthrough!

2) Prayer

There was a session on prayer & praying. And it was reported it was a powerful session...

Pls share with us!

3) Worship

Same goes with Worship. We would love to hear from you! You testimonies are important to the body of Christ in the Church because the Bible says:

And they overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Rev 12:11)

You may submit your sharing/testimony to your care-group leader or sister Belinda.

LineDancing Outreach!

It was DANCING time once more over the weekend with EBC's LineDancing Outreach!

Like sister Shirley shared, participants don't just get loads of dancing action but also good food, good fellowship, AND perhaps MOST important of all - they get to hear Jesus been preached by Pastor Kueh!

* so much time saved & so much more organised!
One highly ingenious "innovation" for this year's OutReach - PACKED DINNER! ;)

Check out the clips below on the ACTIONS!

Chinese Church Camp - Part 1

d
Well, it's Chinese Church Camp! A 3 days/2 nights camp organised by the tireless leaders of the Mandarin congregation at Santubong Resort from 14th - 16th Nov.

It was a time of REST, FELLOWSHIP, LEARNING, PRAYING, WORSHIPING & FUN!

Below are photographs taken over the past few days. Do enjoy!

1) Outdoor Fun:

An amble amount of time was scheduled in for "free & easy" activities for both the young & the adults to "take their shoes off" from school exams & busy office work.

2) Fellowship:

The Chinese congregation has been growing rapidly over the past months, thus we have a lot of new faces. And there isn't a better place & time than a Church Camp for the "new & old" to mix around. Hallelujah!

Through the wisdom of the Elders, they have come up with "ice-breaking" games that were not just FUN but hilarious!

3) Games:

Such as this one: measuring "brain" size... And the winner is...

It was "tough" competition as God has blessed our Church richly in all things...including "brain size" ;) Here the judges are trying to compare...

...more comparisons... VERY VERY tough... I won't reveal the winner here. Let Pastor share next Sunday ;P

Err...yes...we measured from the Head to the TOE literally!

We know from the Scripture that gossiping is wrong... So again, in the wisdom of the Elders, they devised a game to show the "corruptness" of "gossiping" by whispering from one ear to another to see the "end results"...

Sister Irene here doing the right gesture - Don't LISTEN to gossips!

The results were proven by the 5 different teams that messages get "corrupted" when passed from one ear to another. Goes to show don't believe in everything that you hear ;)

Also goes to show the absolute awesomeness of our Bible that has been divinely preserved through the millennium in its entirety. For example, the Dead Sea scroll (a set of 2000 years old manuscripts) shocked atheist archeologists world wide because it validates the authenticity of our modern Bible that we read in its lack of near zero corruption!

Ok...just a quick Bible fact...now BACK to the games!

Err...no...it's NOT what it seems...These people are NOT gathering around a "casino" table ;)

They are playing scoop-the-cotton-balls-blind-folded!

Did everyone enjoy? Well, it was a resounding "loud" YES!

Praise the LORD for the Church Camp!

To be continued...
